We want to be back

Eight days of peace, good vibrations, great people, endless learning, beautiful emotions, working and living with friends surrounded. Eight days of facing and solving problems of all kind. Peace, love and music; friends, joyfulness and bikes.

Was it Woodstock from 60s?
No, but it was that awesome Erasmus+ project in Poland in Motycz Leśny, called "Back to bikes".

We’ve repaired bikes, repainted them and gave them to the community. How awesome is that? We’ve learned not just how to fix bikes, that’s just a little part. We’ve learned how to express ourself, how to understand other people and their cultures. How to be helpful and useful to people around you. And most important thing to say is, that we grew. We grew in knowledge of all kind. We grew within ourself and within group. Thank you all for beautiful experience that you gave to us.

Here are two personal stories from participants for whom Back to Bikes was first Erasmus+ experience:

Back to Bikes was my first Erasmus+ project and at first I had my doubts and fears about going into something unknown. However, first few days immediately shattered those doubts and I was very glad I accepted the invitiation from my friend and traveled half across Europe to participate in this project. Also, being in a group of amazing people and conversing in English, really helped me to let go off my initial fears and to let myself out of my comfort zone. In the end it was awesome, because I met cool new people and learned things about new cultures. Along with all of that, in this particular project, I learned a new skill of bike repair and I'm thankful for that too. I'd recommend projects like these to anyone who wants to meet new people, work in a group and simply just to have fun.

I was nervous about the project at the start because I didn’t know what to expect, cause this was my first project and it was so far away from my home. But when I came there I was surprised how it all came so easily to me from the moment I came there. Things I learned , great people I had spend time with and the whole experience are priceless. I’m really grateful to be involved in this kind of project and I would recommend it to anyone willing to get some new experience in life.

Movies about our YE.

Here is it! Movies about our Youth Exchange and Picnic Day. Enjoy!

A day in Lubartów.

Today we went to Lubartów to advertise our project. We spread leaflets to local society. On morning hours there was no young people on the streets, so we tried our best. Our target group is young people who like to ride bikes. After this we had chance to visit Polish homes and see how Polish families live. We also ate lunch with families of our Polish participants. They served national food like pierogi. When we were back to our venue, we were ready to prepare the picnic for tomorrow’s community day. We had planned everything so it was easy to prepare it. We only needed to practice some dances and games.

Interview with Participants

Even though it didn't change our attitiude. It was really great to have expert with us to help us overcome the biggest challenges ( Bikes were really happy about it :) ).
